Boot Lips & Wings

Seeing as my car is going into Adelaide Special Vehicles to have a new sideskirt put on in January... I figure its time to decide if I want a rear wing or not.

I want nothing major, nothing over the top... Just something to even up the rear of the car... Im looking at bootlip style wings, like a VN SS rear wing (which is as big as I want to go) or a bootlip like on STELTHY's VP Calais International... The VN SS wing is good, but it looks like it cramps the tail lights which turns me off a bit.

I've also considered the VR/VS GTS style wing (in attached pic) because it looks good from the side... But Im not overly keen on the look from the back and it a bit too much for my liking especially considering my kit.

So any pictures of VN SS wings and especially boot lip spoilers and what model they are off would be great... And i'd love some opinions on what way I should go. I dont really want something exactly like STELTHY's because I dont want to copy someone, I want something slightly different... But unfortunately theres not much out there in bootlips... At this stage im leaning towards not putting anything on, but I guess its worth some thought and opinion..

I reckon it looks great the way it is but then again i don't like wings/spoilers!
If i had to pick one probably the vn ss one for me, just personal choice.
Or you could use a ford tickford wing, my mate put one on his and it looked really good.

id leave no wing on it. im my opinion it makes it looks so much neater.

Id say no wing also!

If you must have a wing/lip, the International one.


If you don't want that, then go the VN SS wing.



If you get that ugly looking VN GTS one, i'm gonna rip it off and smash it to peices

Looks good the way it is but the VN SS spoler will look good and so will the international one.

i agree with every one else, leave the rear wing off it, looks tuff now as it is, but in the end m8 its ur car and ur call so what eva u think is best man, its up to u in the end

what ive seen done, is they get the aero ones just more jaggard and remopve the spoiler, looks sick, just spikes either side and no spoiler

Yeah im not overly keen on any of those wings looking at more of those pics now. VN SS wing suits the the SS kit, Aero wing the Aero kit etc... None would suit my car.

But very interested in a pic of what Paradox said.. would be interesting to see... Anyone else seen that?

mmm Still cant make up my mind. Im gonna get ASV to test fit an aero and ss wing, see how they look. See if they have any international or s pack boot lips in stock and test fit those too.

i dont like wings/spoilers personally, but if you were going to get one id say to just get the vy clubby one...at least if would suit the kit.

..or, i just saw a vy r8 wing, that would suit the kit too

I dont reckon it suits the VN bootlid though... And they're a fair sized wing so it'd be a little over the top for me

International wouldnt suit as its too small your kit is out there you need it to be like vn ss ect ... inter spoiler only suits inters..

also aeros look stupid without there spoiler

vr gts one i rekon would look a treat, as jstpozn said the international one only works on stock looking cars, i think the vn ss would look to small on your car because of the large kit, aero would look silly without the full aero kit,


the vr gts spoiler is large enough to suit the kit and will still fit the shape of the car
