One of the wires would probably be wrong. The only thing for being a wagon is that you have a 68L tank instead of a 63/80L for the sedan.

This can be recalibrated when in the L/100 mode (middle window) Hold the reset button for 3 secs and use + button to add a few litres. Best done when you have just filled up

May need a bit of lube on the speedo head - take unit out and give it a squrt.

id say you have a problem with your speedo wire, possibly even the speed sensor itself. i believe it is the purple wire on connector 2, and this wire gets spliced into the 4th connector. if both connector 2 or 4 are receiving a signal(sounds like that), then im guessing the dash itself is fine, but there is a fault in the wiring, or the speed sensor is not doing its job

How did you stop the speedo from sticking?

My speedo died 2 days ago on a hot Adelaide day - it wobbled for a bit and then zero. I fig thats OK I have a L3 cluster spare (v6) so just whip the speedo out of that one and do a swap. Only thing is it sticks until you are at 40-50kmh. I take it back out and give it a good squirt - but still sticks

while i had the e dash apart pull all guage out and sprayed them with silicone spray then wiped needles down with windex t clean them then the little pins if you have them that the needle rests on clean themas well after this spray again with silicon spray and not more sticking even my rpm was sticking and it doesnt anymore.
but watch out for if you are goin to spray them try not to touch the black parts of the guage as the silicone spry well everything sticks to it a nice clean area is best and a lint fre clothe to clean needles

Yep helped me make a trip to the wreckers $125.00 later v8 VQ dash with all working parts.
Installed the speedo and all fixed.

May just keep the other bits for spares as the trip computer has working lights and good LCD's.

I may try and fix the other speedo with the fluid problem... But I may stuff it as well

do you have a vn calais dash in there already? vq stato dash is a little different in wiring. it does have a few more features over the vn dash though
