through what mate? the firewall?
is yours an auto? if so, theres a grommet where the clutch pedal would normally go, its beside or under the brake booster, make a hole in that and feed the wire thru there, you will pro0bably have to find it on the inside behind a bit of carpet though.
There's a rubber grommet you can take off, and a hole behind it that you can feed the cable through. You'll have to puncture a hole in the middle of the grommet, so you can feed the cable back through the firewall with the grommet in place. If you get my meaning.
When standing in front of your car, you'll find the grommet on the left hand side of the firewall, lower and to the left of the auto trans dip-stick, below the VIN plate. (or whatever you call it. The silver thing with numbers on it)
Here's a picture of where I fed my cable (8ga). I've highlighted the cable red. The rubber ovalish shape it vanishes into, is the grommet I speak of. Hope that gives you a better idea of where to find it![]()

on my 92 vp auto there is another grommet about 10cm to the right of the brake booster (from memory) and a bit lower... which when you pop it out has underfelt-like stuff behind it. pierce it with a coat hanger (!) and poke a hole in the grommet & you can feed the power wire thru it. i just installed an amp in the boot and ran all the wires (amp power, signal and front speakers) under the drivers side kick panel with the rest of the wires to the rear of the car and now get ignition whine and white noise. d'oh! might have to re-run them on the other side of the car. hmmm any ideas?
just read morto's thread - thats the baby.
peter 65, you should always run speaker wires or rcas away from your power and amp turn on wires, its best to run on the opposite side of the car or down the centre, thats what i did, i havent had a problem with engine noise coming through the speakers.
my power wire and amp signal wire is down the drivers side, rcas down the centre and front speaker wires down the passenger side!!!!
