    Hey guys ,

Looking at getting a new steering wheel, just wondering whether you can post up your pics of your steering wheels to give us some ideas.

    cheers

sorry i dont have a pic but some advice... wood grain steering wheels look awesome BUT get very slippery and dangerous when hands get sweaty, known people to have had minor accident from going to turn a corner and slipping to t bone a car at an intersection
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!

just remember that most steering wheels dont meet ADR's which makes them illegal, normally Momo or isotta are legal.

ive only got a vp ss wheel in mine

^^^ For those that cannot afford the 2 legal brands which are Momo and Isotta, there is now a 3rd steering wheel brand that is legal in Australia.

The brand is called Walker, its an Adelaide based company so im not sure on its availability. Autobarn stock them here and they are similar in price to other cheap brands.

Just so you understand why few are legal.. The steering wheel manufacturer must supply 10 Steering wheels and 10 boss kits PER model steering wheel for testing and crushing. Say $300 for a steering wheel and boss kit x 10 = $3000 x however many steering wheels in their ongoing range.... Lets say 20... thats $60,000..... Thats alot of money, add on the fact they may not be approved anyway....This is why most steering wheels are not ADR approved because the companies simply refuse to spend the money.

    Here is mine ...

I think it was an original HSV Momo wheel that came out in the VN/VP's. On the horn pad you can see the momo logo, and when you take off the pad, there is the momo logo in the usual spot on the spoke...

Got it off ebay, and was a really good price... The other wheel, which I have in the Evo is this one...

I spend too much money on my cars & bike
