Not sure if anyone has tried this, but the other day, a friend of mine bought over a VN Toyota Lexon. We were just lookin at the little differences and stuff, and just for shits and giggles I tried my key in his door...
It opened the friggen thing.... There is no alarm on the car, so this caught his attention... The thing was that it didn't lock the door but it could un-lock it.... We didn't want to try it in the ignition cause we were a not sure if it would get stuck or anything...
I know a long time ago, friends of mine at school use to unlock each others VL's and move them around in the car park, but this really shocked me... I luckily have an alarm, but I will be thinking about what I leave in the car at any time...
Does anyone know how you can stop this kind of thing???
Yeah, i have had the Solex locks before and was not really a fan of them...
Maybe get the locks off a newer model commodore, VS? and fit them to your VN.
or if you want and you got keyless unlocking, you could remove the locks from your drivers and passenger doors and replace the front handles with rear door handles. there was a thread about it a while back
it helps to have a midget on hand to get in through the boot![]()
lol ... Keyless entry is already playing up... That is why I haven't done that.. and yeah, the sub box takes up the back of the car, so there is no way to climb throug...
I was going to do the shaved door handles, but yet again.. It is only really a daily driver car, and I don't want to really spend too much more on this car.. I have too many other projects at the moment...
I have a mongoose alarm, and that does me fine, but just don't like the thought of people being able to open up the car and pinch CD's or anything that may be just sitting there...
Ahah... Now that's an idea.. I didn't think that it would be doing it because of the lock wear... But yeah, that would be true... Thanks for that...![]()
