I have run into trouble with my ignition barrel on my 1990 vn. the key can go in but it wont turn even if the steering wheel is unlocked. I had the raa guy come and see if he could fix it and ended up having it towed home, he said i would need a new ignition barrel.![]()
I was wondering if there was a cheap or easy way to fix this, eg get one from a wreckers with a key or have one made for the second hand barrel? And if i did get a second hand barrel is it easy to replace myself or not?

thanks for that i will look into it... just wondering do you know if it is easy to replace yourself or do you have any idea where and for how much i could get it done?
i rang some locksmiths and they said around $180 to $250 for it to be fixed so that i can have the same key...
