I say stay away from Ultra tune, VERY far away.

My car went in for a service, ended up costing me over 1000, and being young and stupid, i didn't think anything of it.

Lets put it this way, besides those paid actors saying 'they are that good' i havn't met a happy ultra tune customer yet.

Your better off looking for a decent mechanic who has his own business, not a franchise.

I'll second that. Where do you live, ab? Perhaps somebody nearby can point you in the right direction

Since your in SA, you should go to Danbe Auto. He's on Ween Rd in pooraka (just off research Rd) and they'll have an orange HJ? Ute out front.

You may have seen his VN and LX at HvF day, but anyway, he knows whats he's doing, and doesn't charge a fortune.

DON'T go to any holden place, there worst that the franchises (ultra tune, profux etc)

Holden do nothing themselves anyway, not here atleast. I went to them with a central locking problem, only for them to take it and inform me Hampstead Auto Electrical would be in contact when its ready to pick up. They send all their cars to an auto electrician and then probably charge extra for being the middle man.

I know my local holden dealer do this with window tinting. Send their cars up the road to Tint-a-car who charge $300 for a commy (less maybe for trade) then holden slap on an extra $500 for doing nothing.

Back on topic, when I was a young whipper snapper with newly acquired license in hand, I too was cautioned away from Ultratune.

The dealership is Plaza Holden which are one of the bigger dealerships along with Metro Holden, Metro Holden do their own work though.

i think smaller mechanics are better. The guy i reccommended only uses Bendix for brakes. Although he can use whatever you request. He did my service with Penzoil Oil
