    Default air con water?

Hey, with it being summer and all ive been using my air con alot and i noticed that in the drivers side foot well on the left hand side that all the carpet is wet like something has leaked onto it. Im pretty sure its water, and my only guess so far is that its coming from the air con. Does anyone have any ideas on what else this could be?

    thanks

i cant remember where the drain hose is but i will have a look whilst the motor is out of my car, if you want to look for your self i think its above the auto
they usually block up with leaves and junk, the only was to stop it happening again is to clean the drain tube every 6-12 months.

You have to get under your car, and look for a while till you see a drain pipe sort of thing. Should be above gearbox or somewhere around there. Its a pipe that is kinda split in 2 if i remember correctly, so water can come out but dust and dirt cant get in. On mine the 2 split parts stuck together and thats how it was blocked. Its a bit of a pain but you have to unsplit it. once i did this i put a little bit of grease in there so they cant get stuck together again. And have not had a problem since.

Its been over a year so im not sure how accurate these instructions are.

On VN/VP there are two drain tubes, one on either side above the trans. My preferred technique for unblocking is to use a length of wire with the end bent into a loop to avoid damaging the evaporator case (it is lined with expanded foam - polystyrene? - as insulation) or the rubber tube.

The factory rework involved trimming the 'lips' off the tube ends to prevent them from sticknig together.

Occasionally, leaves will build up in the evaporator case which are virtually impossible to remove without disassembly = live with it, $$$$. A recurrence of the blockage can be avoided by keeping the plenum chamber, the bit under the bonnet below the front screen, clear of leaves.
