OK, so I have this manual, it says:
To Remove and Install:
(l) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
(2) Twist the fuse panel cover retaining clips 90
degrees and allow the cover the swing down.
(3) Loosen the lower steering column cover
retaining screws and remove the lower steering
column cover from the vehicle.
(4) Insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder
and turn the key to the On position.
(5) Insert a 3 mm wire into the locking pin hole
and depress the locking latch. Withdraw the lock
cylinder from the steering column.
It also has a picture:
WHERE THA **** IS THA LOCKING PIN HOLE????
Thank you.....
have a look underneath somewhere. you will find it if ya look hard enough. it is a shit of a setup really. some come out really easy and some take ages to get out..
More Info Pls
look all around the area marked as lock cylinder in your pic, theres a small hole about 3mm(surprise surprise) this is the locking pin hole
push a bit of wire or a drill bit into this with the key in the correct spot.
....unless of course your cylinder seizes up in the 'off' position like mine did! (locking pin won't budge in this position) Had to take the lock assembly off the steering column just to drive the car and then once home got the drill out and attacked it!
Musta looked pretty funny tho- sitting outside a shop, hammering away at the snap off bolt heads on the lock assembly for five minutes before driving away![]()
