Default VY V6 into VN with manual

How would I go about putting a VY V6 into a VN with a manual gearbox (manual gearbox that is already in the VN, not a VY 1). Would the engine just fit in? Could I use the VN Electrics? What complications would arise? What is a VY engine worth?

hmm, im not too sure if the manual gbox will bolt up, i know it does to the VS ecotecs. the engine will just fit in and i *think* youll have to use the vy loom, computer, etc. your best bet wud to get a write off car from insurance auctions and just use the engine and whatnot. and complications, cud be anything!

yep it will go in with a bit of work ofcourse, take alook at this thread as it will give you a good guide Ecotec into VN
it will bolt into the existing k-frame/mounts, and you can use the vn engine wiring loom its alot easier if you do IMO. but everythings pretty much covered in that thread except the manual part, the vn t5 box was used on the VS ecotec so you might need a couple of part of that so your box works with the ecotec but it will bolt up no worries.

you would need to source a flywheel to suit the ecotec, i think capa does one or was castemaine rod shop??? it should otherwise be fairly straight forward. the ecotec into VN been done now and most ofthe pitfalls ahve been found. Hozay's thread is great, covers almost everything. me, jealous

It was prolly just a oxy sensor reading too lean or rich because of foam's chips. I see my light all the time.
