Disc and Rotors = Same thing, otherwise i would make sure the caliper bolts are tight, but if you had a wheel alignment done, they should have picked up anything that they thought was out of place.
I was having an argument with my missus and she said "You don't even know what love is!"
"Sure i do, its that white stuff."

    Check it out!

    Wheel bearings?

And yes if the caliper bolts go missing at highway speed - wheel can lock and a trip into the bush. (brother had this happen). Not a funny thing to happen....

re caliper bolts. bit of trivia: they are the same size as wheel nuts, so if you lose one and the other is loose and you dont have tools with you - use the std holden wheel brace.

A tip: when replacing the brake pads and doing up the caliper bolts, The Book says to use new bolts. Why? Neweys have locking compond on them so they dont come loose. So use something (Loctite maybe?) to lock em on. i didnt do that - i am too smart you see - and learnt all of the above, the relatively (ie not the bush, thankfully), hard way. cheers!

i dont think it will be the caliper bolts.
in my opion id say to go in to the local brake place and get an on car disc machine on all the discs, this will stop the shudder

had the same problem with my brakes
got the brakes done and was told the disc were under sized so i told themto put new rotors on drove to sydney come home and then aftertwo weeks shuddering again so i too them back to a friend and he said cheap rotors and good brake pads dont mix as the pads can stand up to hot temops but the discs warps after they get to hot then cold to quik so we machined them and no more shuddering

next time me go for slotted discs good ones i think

Yep i'd say your disc are warped and could do with a machine, if you have just replaced the front then get the back machined first or vica versa.

Poor technique while bedding in new or newly machined pads or discs will cause shudder, particularly if the car is stopped and the brakes left clamped on with the pads hot = spot transfer of pad material to the disc.

Ive had allsorts of problems with brake disks shuddering. I tried machining and replacing with genuine disks. Nothing helped, they had hot spots again after a few weeks.

I went and got a set of DBA disks, they are a much better material, havent had a problem since.

I'm surprised no one has thought about checking the front end bushes. Front suspension and steering bushes
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
