Hey team thanks heaps...especially for the great pics from SV6
now what im havin trouble with is confirming order from coil pack to motor could you please explain in lamens order from looking at the front of the motor at the moment i think it goes looking from the front left goin towards rear 246,on the right 135...but i know thats wrong(mates advice)please help..lol
yeah mate the right from the front (i.e. the side the coils are on) go like 1, 3 ,5 and the left from the front (the side which the power steering reservior is on) goes 2,4,6 so should be right.
the cylinder numbers are the same as in that pic i sent you, even though the engine in the pic is different (vs ecotec) the cylinders and their locations are the same.
so like i said chose your coil pack either the square one, or the rounded ones in the pic with the motor then just conect your ignition leads from one on the coil pack to front spark plug on the coil side, then 3 on coil pack to the middle spark plug on the coil pack side, then 5 on coil pack to the rear spark plug on the coil pack side
then the remaining lead go over the intake mainfold behind the alternator to the other 3 spark plugs. number 2 on the coil pack goes to the front spark plug on the power steering side, number 4 to the middle plug on the power steering side, number 6 to the rear plug on the power steering side
then check they are all on properly and fire her up, see if that fixed your problem. if not reply here with your best description on what the motor is not doing right and everybody will surgest what they think could be wrong
however if it fixes your problem. then thats good,
cheers mate
