Default differences in vn v6 and v8

im just wondering the differences in vn v6 and v8.
i know afew things are different. but exactly what?
I have tryed searching but cant find much.
will the v6 mounts bolt up where the v8 was or do i need to change the crossmember?
if so how do i change it and what needs to be changed with it?
i have a compleate vn v6 manual with no front end
and a nice vn calais shell but it was a v8.
i wanted to swap over the v6 into the calais shell but i need to find out what needs changing exactly.
    cheers.

Is the calais a shell really or a rolling car complete minus the engine? In the end mostly all you need to do to swap either engine to either car is undo the K-Frame, suspension and motor and stick it in the other shell and all the electronics that goes with it

You will need the instrument cluster as well as there are minor instrument workings differences between the V8 and V6

    thanks heaps for the replys,
i would sell the shell but i need it as my berlina is stuffed

But i have a compleate vn calais minus engine and gearbox.
the "problem" is it was a v8 and im unsure if it will be a easy swap for a v6. This might sound stupid downgrading from a 8 to a 6 but im on my ps
and i dont think an 8 is a sensible idea for me yet.

So basically i have a compleate v6 vn 5 speed berlina with no front end and
i wanted to swap the engine and box and put them in the calais which only needs an engine and gearbox.

I have swapped my old berlina from a auto s1 to manual s2 so i have a small amount of knowledge and i'm wanting to start this conversion im just unsure how hard it is. And the mounts for the 8 look different.

i know you need to change the comp,
    radiator
    tail shaft?
    diff?
    fuel pump?
    front springs/shocks?
    power steering pump
    air con compressor thing
    dash cluster

    k frame?
    but what else.
does anything need to come out with the k frame?
how do i remove the k frame?

    cheers 4 the help.

The kframe has 4 bolts under it and the rest of the suspension will come out with it if you want, seems a shame to turn a almost perfectly good V8 calais into a V6 though but oh well maybe you can keep all the parts for later

    cheers.
ideally if i was abit older i would probly get a 8 for the calais.
But cause im on my p's i dont think its wise as its illegal and insurance will be expensive.

maybe even get an 8 in afew years.

    cheers
where are the bolts located to remove the k frame?
is it 2 bolts underneath on each side?
    and just the engine mounts?
    does any1 have any pics?
