what engine oil for dual fuel VN

hi, guys, I am curious that what brand engine oil are you using for dual fuel VN V6. I used the yellow Shell and also the castrol several times. today I checked shell is SH, castrol is SJ but Penrite HPR gas10 is SL which is told to be the highest class. has anyone got any experience on that one? 35 bucks in super cheap and I am going to change mine in April. many thanks.

just use standard 15w/40 oil. i use valvoline formula 5000

Ive got a vg ute on petrol and gas and i use that penrite HPR gas 10 u mentioned, no problems so far

I use the normal HPR Gas and it runs great - you might find that HPR 10 is 15/40 and is not recommended for older cars like the VN as its too thin and doesnt handle any heat or stress .. the HPR is 25/60 much better for an older car like a VN.

yes, I used 15-40w before, they say SL class is the best so Gastrol is SJ, Shell is SH and HRP gas10 is SL. you are right maybe the normal HRP is better for our VN.
