LOL, where have you been mate?

the vn/vp run a T700 4 speed auto, with a kickdown tv cable that controls the 4th to 3rd gearshift and fluid pressure levels.

the vr and all commodores onward that run a electric t700, the 4L6E, are electrically controlled and dont run a kick down cable.

I think a dyslexic illiterate penguin would know a VN/VP runs a kick down cable.

My god I love a know it all...

Mate what mechanics are you at so we all know where to never ever go??

I notice that those who state their qualifications as part of their response usually have the least valid information to contribute... seems to apply everywhere you go!

Majesticknights, when can I get the shiftkit for my handbrake done.. it's not stopping at three clicks anymore.. and a transcooler for the front brakes would be excellent.. hit me up for pricing

    edit: LMFAO AirStrike.
ps: Majesticknights: just so you ARE FULLY AWARE, your boss *may* ask you to go to repco or the hardware for a "left handed screwdriver", or a "glass hammer" or a stall convertor for a 5 speed.. Friendly advice for you, as we know, JC is a friendly site.. None of those items are actually real. They're a joke played on Apprentices.

Is that the same as not "disconnecting" wheel nuts to change a tyre, or not "disconnecting" sparkplug leads when replacing the plugs themselves??

The fact that you are supposedly a mechanic and do not even know that VN onwards all use a 4 speed auto is appalling mate.

If you were new it would be understandable. You are supposedly a professional in this industry and people trust you and pay you to repair and service their vehicles. You should NOT be touching anyone elses car with that sort of limited knowledge. My 11 year old cousin knows the VN/VP use a 4 speed auto and have a kickdown cable and I am not exaggerating.
