was wondering at what rev should it be changing? atm its around 3g if i put it down.
is there a propper way to set it?
vp dont run a kick down cable
cheers, chev
cable????????? trimatic dont even run a cable
buddy im a mechanic and have pulled several gearboxes out of commodores, never once disconnected a kick down cable
read up son then try and argue
cheers, chev
LOL, where have you been mate?
the vn/vp run a T700 4 speed auto, with a kickdown tv cable that controls the 4th to 3rd gearshift and fluid pressure levels.
the vr and all commodores onward that run a electric t700, the 4L6E, are electrically controlled and dont run a kick down cable.
Ill tell you what mate, let me know where you are located so NO ONE EVER COMES TO SEE YOU!!!!
I think a dyslexic illiterate penguin would know a VN/VP runs a kick down cable.
This everyone is why I do 90% of the work myself and when needed only TRAINED PROFESSIONALS work on my car..........
AirStrike
Selling FG G6E Turbo and buying a N/A Supra
My god I love a know it all...
Mate what mechanics are you at so we all know where to never ever go??
I notice that those who state their qualifications as part of their response usually have the least valid information to contribute... seems to apply everywhere you go!
* Phreddy's Blaupunkt Aux input and line out mod
* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
i find it rather entertaining how imature you so called site elders are
i have never disconnected a kickdown cable on a commodore, if im wrong then im open to be proven otherwise, show me something, a photocopy from a service manual or something similar rather than carry on like a bunch tools
cheers, chev
Hahahahaha...
Shit.. THATS what blew my auto in the VR.. was not looking after the trimatic well enough!
lol classic![]()
wow u really are a dumb C***
u must be like 14 or something hey? just cos u swept the floors at ur uncles work shop for work experience doesnt make u a mechanic son
Majesticknights, when can I get the shiftkit for my handbrake done.. it's not stopping at three clicks anymore.. and a transcooler for the front brakes would be excellent.. hit me up for pricing
edit: LMFAO AirStrike.
ps: Majesticknights: just so you ARE FULLY AWARE, your boss *may* ask you to go to repco or the hardware for a "left handed screwdriver", or a "glass hammer" or a stall convertor for a 5 speed.. Friendly advice for you, as we know, JC is a friendly site.. None of those items are actually real. They're a joke played on Apprentices.![]()
04a-070 found it on partfinder now that wasnt so hard was it
throttle valve cable - still have never had to disconnect one
cheers, chev
have u worked on anything vn onwards???
or just a trimatic in the earlier commodores?
u really gotta do some research, and if u find new information you didnt know, acknowledge it! dont fight it thinkin ur know it all, your the one that looks like a tool mate
man i got it wrong then 4 tools couldnt prove them selves right i had to prove myself wrong, 1 guy knows and 3 others back them up. oi if u jump off this cliff you float back up............ any takers?
cheers, chev
took my time because im eating.
this is direct from a gregories workshop manual.
The fact that you are supposedly a mechanic and do not even know that VN onwards all use a 4 speed auto is appalling mate.
If you were new it would be understandable. You are supposedly a professional in this industry and people trust you and pay you to repair and service their vehicles. You should NOT be touching anyone elses car with that sort of limited knowledge. My 11 year old cousin knows the VN/VP use a 4 speed auto and have a kickdown cable and I am not exaggerating.
I wouldnt back up anyone here for any reason unless i agree with what they say. i dont know any of these guys, they dont know me, the fact is, you were wrong, they were right, u've learnt from it now, next time they try and help you, say thankyou, dont fight something u got no chance of winning
here i have my rare one of a kind t700 of a v6 vn series 2. make me an offer. i would be thinking the offers would have a few 0's
this would have been funnier about 10 posts ago
