it won't be the converter, it'll be the flex plate the converter is bolted to, they can crack and come away from the crank. if it's vibrating badly i'd suggest getting it looked at if your not keen on getting under the car yourself and removing the inspection cover and having a good look at the converter/ converter to flex plate mounting bolts and flex plate itself for cracking/damage etc. you'll need a good lightsource as it can be difficult to see.

Centre bearing/uni joints can have some vibrations. While your under the car looking at the tranny give the tail shaft a good riggle n see if it moves around at all.

Tape a 500 gram lead weight to the wheel of your bike and go for a ride. Even at medium speeds your bike will be nearly impossible to ride. How long it will take - impossible to tell. Could last months but then again the bearing might fubar next time you start the car. It all depends on how far out of balance things are and how good things were to begin with.

Sounds like you are on the right track. If it vibrates in park the problem will be in front of the transmission and most probably won't be the tail shaft.

Harmonic balancers are pretty common issues in these cars. It will cause rough running and shaking depending on how bad the problem is. Not overly expensive to fix, or overly difficult either.

to check the harmonic balancer, do the visaul thing, then remove the serpentine belt and swing off the thing and see how much it moves, it shouldn't really move/deflect much at all

Could be the bush in the front of the trans, where the converter meets.
