Hey Everyone, Just replaced the diff in my v6 calais, and now the tailshaft is kinked down about 40 degrees at the c.v. joint. I have tried using another tailshaft out of a 5L irs (mine is live axle) and it's still the same. The car is on superlow king springs. Do I need a spacer where the tailshaft bearing bolts up underneath the handbrake?? The panhard bar is still stock. I have put the original tailshaft back in for now, it was ok before on the old diff. Any ideas would be great. Cheers Dan
yeah the center bearing has a spacer. it is only about 10mm thich tho shouldnt make 40 deg difference do you have the bracket that holds the ccenter bearing to the car or is it just hanging there
13.3 1/4 exhaust only untuned!
for it to sit at a 40 degree angle u mustn't have the bracket that holds the center bearing on there or u have it upside down if it will fit in the wrong way round..

Thanks for the quick replys, the centre bearing bracket is done up the right way, I might have to check out a spacer. I'll take it out and try again tonight. Cheers Dan.

Yeah I had the tailshaft upside down with the loop to the bottom. Maybe I shouldn't rush things in the heat. Cheers everyone thanks heaps, Dan.
