    Default Clunking when turning...

Yes, another problem with the calais... :P

Im hearing a noise when i turn sharp left corners.

When i turn right, no noise

when i turn left from stop, no noise

when i turn left at speed theres a knocking noise from the back left corner of the car, almost sounds like a loose shocker.

    Any ideas?
Wheel sits solid on the hub and doesnt move, visually the suspension components seem fine.

Are you sure the sound is coming from the back left? the reason i ask is because i just had a similar problem only when i turned left hard. took the front wheel off and had a look at the swaybar links, which stabalize the steering. Turns out its a common problem as the bar is straight it put to much pressure on the rubbers between the swaybar and the strut and it pushes the rubber down causing the swaybar link to come up to far when doing sharp left corners and it hits the top of the strut. new swaybar links are slightly bent to stop to much pressure being applied to the rubber.
    hope this helps.

there is a sway bar in the back also, which also has link arms and rubber bushes that get flogged. same as the front, fit some nolathane bushes if thats the problem. check the front ones as well while your at it.

yeah, the noise is happening more often now...
I guess its a good time to get the back lowered, chuck some new shocks on and replace the swaybar bushes maybe.

I wont be able to do that for a few weeks, in the mean time i hope the wheel doesnt fall off. haha.

Also worth mentioning is that it only makes the noise under braking or decelerating, if im accelerating through a lefty corner it makes no noise...
