im pretty sure you will have to drill a hole :S. but some extractors just kill oxygen sensors, so not too sure here

Are you sure they are for the VN 5L?

Pre VN 5L headers from Pacemaker didnt have an oxygen sensor, and neither do the VT 5L headers.

i think it didnt have the hole befor because it was on a carby motor but the mount is there for it so i figure i could just drill the hole. what would happen it i put them on with out the oxy sensor how would it run?

The pacemaker website says not applicable for oxygen sensor which means there are no holes in the headers for them. I never said there was or was not an oxygen sensor.

Maybe you are best off getting a set of headers designed for the VN 5L? The VL 5L headers (if thats what these are) may have clearance issues or something? I doubt the only difference would be the oxygen sensor hole.

i am 99% sure that this thing welded to the side of the pipe in the location that the last headers had it is for a oxy sensor it has a thread the same size etc i just need to know it it will run without it? if it wont i will drill the hole if it will run normal then i wont bother because its a big hole so gonna be hard to drill if it is gonna run any different to now(without extractors) then i will drill it or get new ones. thanks.

i reckon it'd throw an error code, (12 for oxysensor offline isn't it?) and it'd run stupidly rich.

All I could guess would be that on a VT they are placed further down after the outlet of the extractors.............but I am sure they were placed CLOSER in the VT, so they heat up quicker. Who knows.

i have a couple of vt exausts they are a fair way down and there are 2 of em.

i drilled the hole and the oxy sensor screws in perfectly so i am happy about that but had to pull half the car apart to put them on.
