What do you mean by fix? The regulators get strained and flex in the middle as the runner tracks get fowled up. The felt slipy things slip out of place.
Glue the felts into place and use scilicon spray in the tracks.
Takes the strain off the mechanisim.

My VP does the same. the felt bits always slip down on the drivers window. I just get sick of the rattle and glue it back every few months.

thats alright..... my mech is missing about 3 teeth..... i have to wind up to half way then lift the glass while winding to get it past the broken point...... morale of story is try wind the windows up and down before you buy!!
is it a mission to change the whole guts out? ive done it to a vl before and guess holden wouldnt have changed much.....

The regulator is held in by 4 rivets that end up moving around a bit. 4 nuts n bolts stop the movement and hold it nice n tight. I think I just undid the front channel 2 bolts and slipped the window out. Drilled the rivets out. New bolts and wolla. All fixed. Took about 1 1/2 hours all up.
Use super glue on the window rubbers - the one on the outside of the door frame that slips into the window grove and binds up the window. I dont have the problem anymore and whished I'd done it years ago - very good fix.
Do the job when your not going to drive the car for a while and leave the window up and look to see its all in place.![]()
