Custom Door Inserts.....

hey,
anyone got custom door inserts in the vn,vp,vr if so could you post up a pic.
also if you have what sought of material did you use? and where can it be bought?

this just made me think of the Jim Beam ones i saw on the forums here can't remember which ride it was but it was definitely in the 'my ride' section..

i think he said he actually used the bar towels or something similar...try track down the car and ask him

almost u have to cut a hole in the door trim and screw a plastic thing on on dril a cople of holes etc. but there made for the doors becaues vn-vs have the same doors.

Here is my custom insert. Its pretty basic, just grey vinyl. Its the same colour as my pods to match. I prefer the more stock look, so no outrages colours or anything for me, just an improvement on the original fabric.

Hey buddy, Givus a yell on msn: dangerman3000@hotmail.com, i cbf uploading at the moment :P, ill give you a runthrouh on how to do it, ive done it many times.

Choose your fabric - I went to Spotlight and bought 1mtr of black seude and recovered my door inserts.. Im pretty sure.. the VR inserts are pull out too.

The fabric i chose was the same material as my seat covers, which matched the whole theme i was goin for in my car. Take ya door skins off. remove the fabric inserts by loosening the clips, if ur half-arse you can use a staple gun and staple your new fabric over the top of the old. Or If ur really into it, remove the old fabric and padding, replace it with new padding using adhesive trim glue and new staple the new fabric over that. re-insert the inserts back into your door and put ya skins back on, I would suggest with a VR is.. is doing the fabric on the speaker pods/map holders too at the same time with the same fabric. depends on what sorta look you want.
