Post Need Help With VN 5.0L

Hi, my Vn 5.0L has been off the road for nearly 2 mnths, I drove it to work one day no probs went to go to smoko and nuthin.
Keeps cranking but no ignition. Its been at the mechanics for 3 weeks and they cant find it.

Code 12 comes up so everthing supposibly right.
    New plugs, leads etc.
    Replaced coil
    Got Spark
    Fuel, done pressure tests.
    Rotar button is fine etc.
Checked the timing hasnt skipped a tooth.
Replaced ignition module cos resistor r22 i think? was burnt out.
Replaced Starter cos it **** itself from cranking so much over so long.
thatd be nearly it i think?
WHAT COULD IT BE????? A ghost maybe lol
Any help would be truly appreciated
    Kind Regards
    Shan

i would take it to another mechanic, obviously they have no idea.
its not rocket science is it?

    try another ECM
make sure the fuel is good?
make sure the spark is good? (at the right time)

it doesnt have an alarm or immobiliser that has issues?

Default It used to be the mechanics sons car

I bought the car off the mechanics son months ago and hes done all the work to it over the last few years. Hes stumped as much as i am. My dads a diesel mechanic and hes not sure even. So strange aye. Doesnt have an immobiliser and alarm has been disconnected for ages.

The VN Calais certainly came with an immobiliser as standard (I used to own one), so unless it's been removed that could be the problem. Does the remote still unlock the doors OK? Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote?

just to out rule fuel proplems. disconect fuel pump fuse and spray easy start in the throttle body just to see if it fires up....if not like u said spark proplem....have u tryed to earth out a spark plug to see if it sparks....id say ur checked all fuses relays..if ur getting spark and it want fire up with easy start im guessing timings out or compression props.....injectors could be leaking and flooding it .removing fuse will out rule that than spray the easy start...just afew ideas let us know how ya go..

    Question Bloody Injectors i think

The injectors arnt holding the pressure.
After everything is off there still leaking, (into the manifold) also from winding it over so much it has filled her up full of fuel.
So ive had to dump the oil/petrol out and filler back up wit new oil..

So if this is happening thats why it wont go (flooded) Is that right????

Also I was told that they dont make the injectors anymore. Theres no point gettin hi flo or flash ass injectors cos me cars not puttin out the horsepower for them.
Does anyone know where or who would recondition them or have 8 spare for me?
    Cheers

    [QUOTE=Mr_mystikal;512752]Mehanic done it!![/QUOT

Basically after the keys off and pressure is built up it still sprays out the injectors until pressure is gone. Just take em out and look.

do the injectors pulse or are they on all the time?
if they stay on you have a wiring or ECM issue, the power is provided to the injectors by the EFI relay & grounded in pulses by the ECM, if the ECM side of this circuit is grounded the injectors are stuck open causing it to flood.
if the fuel still sprays out with the key off the injectors are buggered.
if its the fuel pressure dropping off it may well be the fuel pressure regulator leaking. pull the little vacuum line of the regulator & see if it is dry inside. try have a fuel pressure guage on it & crank it till you have pressure, when you stop cranking it clamp off the return line & see if it holds pressure, if it does the reg has had it, if not the injectors are leaking or the fuel pump is leaking back

    Rob
