Default Symptoms after V8 throttle body

hey, i just recently put a V8 throttle body on my vp v6 and also removed my

bellmouth restrictor out of my manifold adaptor. now there is a very high

pitch whilstle coming from the throttle body area, my idle is higher than usual

and my throttle is sticking slightly. i have checked all my vacum lines and

none are makin the noise so i am wonderin if the noise is because of the

bellmouth removal? i also noted that when switching the throttle positioning

sensor, the butterfly went from fully closed to open by about 2 mm, is this

what is causing the higher idol or should i adjust the idle screw? anyhelp at

all will be highly appreciated, cheerz!

when you removed the bellmouth and installed the new TB, did you remember to put the gaskets back in?

you shouldnt touch the idle stop screw, try putting the tps sensor on correctly there should be no difference in the position of the throttle blade.

Yeah if your throttle butterly is sticking open a tiny bit it will bypass the idle circuit and cause your car to idle at around 1000-1200RPM. try loosening off your throttle cable a little bit, but make sure you arent sacrificing 100% throttle with your foot down. and the whistling will be a tiny bit of a leak, put your gasket back on, or at least use some liquid gasket, its just a tiny hole sucking air.

help with the idle issues, he couldnt redo the TPS for some reason but

TB does slightly increase power, you really can't feel it, but you get a touchy pedal.

thats just throttle response. it only because more air is able to come through with less butterfly movement. youll get the same effect with a v6 TB if you just push it harder. greenfoam can explain it a lot better than me
