probably needs a new thermostat and radiator cap to raise the boiling point of the coolant a bit...did you rupture any hoses or crack the radiator???

    stuck thermostat?
how's the coolant level? air in the system? (check the bleeder valve when it's pressurised)

do a coolant flush/thermo replace. see if it helps.

Yeah still unsure if i have broken any hoses or pipes yet.

Just all day it was almost overheating and now finally it just started steaming! Im sure it has to do with the radiator but all oils and fluids are fine. Im taking it over to my uncles wreckers tomory, he thinks it may be a water pump gone, if so how much u think they are to replace??

    thanks

dunno how much parts and labour on a new water pump is, but i'd exhaust all other options first, thermostat is ~$12 and the gasket is dirt cheap. they do go from time to time, so it could be that.

I replaced my water pump a couple of years ago, the pump and labour was about $150, but make sure you get a new pump. They are pretty easy to replace on your own too, with the trickiest part being getting the belt off and then making sure the cooling system has no air in it once you have drained it to do the pump.
