Id check your fault codes and that will tell you the problem, ill find the thread
I posted this in my other thread "Fuel Consumption", because it may or may not be related.
My check engine lamp now comes on sporadically. From what I've been noticing, if I idle for a minute or two, then drive off, the light will go on and off intermittently. This only started happening after I breaked all of a sudden yesterday (or maybe after I connected the O2 sensor, but I didn't notice it then). Either way, with the O2 sensor connected OR disconnected, it still goes on and off. Radiator, transmission and Power Steering fluids are all ok, oil is ok, brake fluid is ok. Im stumped again.

Thats all right, thats ok, I drive a commodore anyway!!!!

Ok, so I checked my fault codes, and all I'm coming up with is code 44, which means the oxygen sensor is running lean (undervoltage). I've done an erasure of the ECU's memory and a re-learn (Putting it into Drive + A/C for 30 seconds, without A/C for 30 seconds, then Neutral and A/C for 30 seconds, then without A/C for 30 seconds). I've also cleaned and metal brushed where the earth is connected for the sensor (near the water pump). I've driven around for about 10 minutes, and the fault has come on again. Once again, checked the code, and once again, code 44. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Prob just get a new sensor and it should fix it![]()

Unfortunately, this is a new O2 sensor :-(. Check my previous fuel consumption thread, and you'll see what I mean. Currently, heres the stats: Old O2 sensor = 400km/tank, New sensor wired wrongly = 400km/tank, New sensor wired correctly (this is including erasing and re-learning the ECU)= 200km / tank, new sensor unplugged = 400km/tank.
