hey all.1990 5lt cai.2.5 exhaust just bought it 2 months ago.got a bargain i think.$2000. 8 months rego.put pics up soon but have lots in mind for it.

good to see a couple of vq's you got a wicked bargain dude i payed 3500 for mine no rego but is very clean and had a bit of money put in it getting it running right has a 3 inch straght through but that has to come off and 2 1/2 inch put on so i can get it insured post pics up when i start some mods

Vq Staty,355 stroker,stage 3 cam,10;1 comp,stage 3 fully manualised t350 auto.2800 stally.Still deciding if i should go manual.

Hi

Would love to go manual but not sure if its worth the cost.Or even where to go to get it done.Couldnt be bothered myself.Then i would also have to fork out for another custom tune.

I agree
The stage 3 auto is good but i also have a manual vs ute,5.0 L.Even thou the vq is way more powerful the ute with the manual is more fun to drive(and i dont mean just because its light in the back)
Manual instant power,Auto lots of revs before you get it going.

yea mate get a manual in your statesman. i did it with mine and when the auto was in my 5 litre felt so weak and gutless. ever since i put the manual in its a totally different motor.

Im too lazy to change gears so ill stay auto.
Anyway i got a white 91 VQ exhaust,lowered,rims as soon as i change the rear arms.(got the wheels just need to make them fit)caprice grill,twin 3in dumps,powder coated rocker covers etc.Does the job OK.

Doesn't matter how good an auto setup someone has, they still don't have the FUN pedal

stealthy the "fun" pedal is on the right ... the far left pedal is the "excuse" pedal... im not talking bout ur car ive seen some of ur vids but most of the clapped out things down this way NEED a clutch to get things happening, and sometime a re-clutch

i got a 91 vq statto 5.0l with stage 2 shift kit 2 1/2inch twin exhuast and cai i havent done much to the engine cos still been workin on the insides and body

ok ok heres a few pics of mine.

Mods are...well just about everything is modded in someway
Most obviously is the manual, hence why i'm so fond of them

Also just got my Dash in now, the pics tell 1000 words
