    Default how do i take shifter out.

    hey just in the process of putting a b&m pro ratchet shifter in my vn and im wondering how i get the original shifter out? there is the 2 stud things holding it in.
    also how do i change from the rod style shifter to a cable style.
    has any one done this?
    any help muchly appreciated.

    from memory the shifters a popriveted in and you have to drill them out and make up a pannel to cover the hole..
    to change from the rod to a cabil i made up a bracket out of sheet metal. and compleatly removed the rod.
    make the bracket so it screws onto the bolts that hold the auto pan on
    Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet,stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

    does any one have any picks.
    ive got the cabe but i just dont know how it can replace the rod bo i have to bye/make a braket to make it shift.

    with my mates car he is going for a turbo 400 so it will be a different setup as they are already cable as far as i know.. you would have to have it spring loaded so when you go in the direction from 1st to park it would spring back. does that make sense. i can picture what i mean in my head but it is hard to explain. best bet would be to pop under and have a look for yourself..

    yeah ive had a bit of a look under neath just not shore how i can mopunt the cable so that it works like the rod. i dont realy picture wat you were saying wat will have to spring back if i go from first to park.

    got shifter in yesterday made up brakets and such to make work but now when i shift it only changes half a gear and i have to shift 2 times with the shifter to go one gear therefor i can only got from p to d not 321.
    some one must have put a pro rechet onto a t700. plz help.
    any comments that can help appreciated.

    you will need to have the cabil lower on the arm coming out of the auto. this will make the shif shorter but will also make it harder to shift

    is there an adaptor kit that can be bought. does your cable come in from the front of the box.
