    Default Recon engine

Since my engine is starting to make horrible knocking noises on startup and misfires at low revs, i'm considering replacing it with a recon unit.

Does anyone know of any places in the west of melbourne that do reconditioning or supply recon engines? Also some idea of price would be great if anyone knows!

Thanks! Do you know if that price is fitted or just supplied? It doesn't sound too bad if it's fitted. I was wondering about just chucking a second hand engine in but who knows what sort of problems a second hand one may have. Could be worse than what i've already got

Not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure that was fitted also. But i can ask next time i go past i'll stop in and get some prices off them. Your Series 1 yes? Might be cheaper?

If your thinking of going for a VR seconds hand engine there is one in the trading post for $950 reco in 2005..

Yeah mine is a Series 1. That would be great if you can go in when you're passing!

Theres an Ebay seller under the name of Formula One Wreckers based in Campellfield that sometimes puts VN motors up for $550 plus $350 install, only come with 3 month warranty though...
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
