VN 5 litre Engine cut outs

Gday all!

I own an 89 VN ex interceptor 5litre 5 speed. I have been having serious issues with it cutting out. If its under heavy labour then it just dies untill u let you foot of the pedal and then it goes again. If you leave your foot on the gas it throws an error code but it clears almost straight after. I really wanna get this sorted out with out spending a fortune cos i wanna sell it.

Anyone ever had same problem?

Yeah i have replaced the one in the tank but there is a regulator i need to look at at the back near the manifold i think. Did some tests blocking the vacuum on it and block it did nothing????

Im not an expert but perhaps change or check the oil sender as this helps send power to the fuel pump

Also Im not sure if this model has a Ignitian module bolteded to the passanger side of the car or not but if it is faulty it might start to die slowely hence your cutting out, Test your spark, start form leads go to coil then down to ignitian module then to oil sender etc etc.

even the coil can be on its way out as i had the same prob, it used to go pretty much fine when just cruising around but as soon as i give the throttle stick it would die on me
