Need Help

Hey guys and girls

On my statesman the cable that runs from the bonnet lever to the bonnet to pop the hood is streatched and i cant pop the hood does anyone have a solution to getting it open????

you can apparently open it with a screwdriver by lying on the ground under the bumper and levering part.

i saw a thread to that effect a while back, see what a search pulls up

ok, reading from the vp/vq gregories:

release cable - engine bonnet.
emergency releace procedure
1) working upwards through the space behind the front bumper, insert a thin screwdriver through the hole in the radiator support panel, and to the outside of the bonnet lock tube, position the end of the screwdriver behind the lock spring arm,
2) lever the lock spring arm towards the right hand side of the vehicle

Nah cant find **** aye yeh i tried getting under there and opening it manually wont budge thanks anyway bud anyone else know of any tips???

cool, there's a pic too, basically looks like when your under the bumper looking up, there's a hole bout as bick as a 20 cent coin, with some gear in it. you wanna put the screwdriver into the engine side of the gear in it. that's all i can tell from it.

have ya tried gettting someone to put pressure on it.. if not you could pull the cable off the handle inside the cabin and use a pair of pliars..

yeh ill jack the car up tomorrow should be able to sort something out hopefully

haha its a **** aye i got the same problem

i fixed it followed pow3rslave direction the reason my little pully button wasnt working cause there wasnt enough tension cause the zip tie had broken and the cable was sagging but all fixed now thanks very much pow3rslave.
