$12K limit

hey guys ive got 12k to blow on a ride, i was thinking along the lines of a vn ss, thinking logically though, theyve all been THRASHED THE **** OUT OF! i was just wondering, is it possible to drop a gen III into a vn ss shell? that way i could buy a cheaper decent condition vn ss and just engine swap it?
what do you guys reckon? any help would be greatly appriciated

I think you'll find that you could get yourself a nice HSV VN or VP for a bit less than $12K. It pays to be patient and wait for something to come up for sale. Keep an eye out on various auto wesites.

Also the Gen III is easy enough, i know of a few people from street commodores forum that have done this.

haha mate you wish you could do it, haha im jkn anyways just go onto carsales and look, see what you can find... look in the trading post... i cant tell you how much it is to do the conversion but i know it is possable....

i really cant be bothered with painting the car and all the rest, mechanical mods id focus on, everything else paint,rims etc. would be alot easier if they were already there, does anyone know a rough estimate how much a gen III engine with decent kms on it would go for? and how much it would cost to get the conversion done for me?
