The VP SS had the following not included on the VN SS:
    1. Factory Alarm
    2. IRS
    3. ABS (Optional)
Personally (I am biased tho) I would go the VN SS. The IRS in the VP is woeful, not that many people keep them but the stock rims are butt ugly, the front bar is ugly. Exterior wise the only things I like about the VP SS is that the mirrors are colour coded and that the fog lights look more intergrated.
Price wise they are about the same.

According to Just Car's insurance quote the VN has IRS. I thought it was a bit odd.

Is there much of a weight difference between the two cars? Or is it pretty similar?

Do you mean motor wise? looks? interior?

also i think IRS became standard on Series II VPs

VNs came in Phoenix Red, and Atlas Grey, and later realeased in White, not sure of the name.

VPs came in Red, White and Black (actually called Anthracite Grey, but its black, trust me)

I like the VPs front end better than VN, but nothing beats the VN SS wing, especially not that dicky looking thing on VP SSs.

Just on what Airstrike said, both stock wheels are just as crap as eachother in my opinion.

Yeah I think IRS was an option on SI and standard on SII.
    The colours available are:
    VN
    Phoenix Red
    Atlas Grey
    Alaskan White
    VP
    Maranello Red
    Empire Red
    Anthracite Grey
    Alaskan White

Agreed that both stock wheels are crap but I would take the VN's over the VP's any day.

it was by no means good, it was quite hacked actually, having the Calais side moulds, some ugly looking 16s and was in need of aninterior tidy up, but the fact was it was an SS, and all the panels were there (mainly the spotties, if it doesn't have the spotties its not a real SS)

I think the VP SS in Anthracite Grey is the best looking VN-VS ever to come out of the Holden factory by a long way too!. They are much less common than the VN's which every second hoon is drving around in at the moment (the other half drive VQ's )

Goes to show how **** the VP's look when you say the best looking VP SS is one that has none of the VP SS panels left.

Just the order I found the pic's in - and the Aero is a smicko looking car (VN or VP). Sorry if it went off topic - I just had to add the Aero.

haha mite sound a bit odd to use.. i have a vp ss. some idiot that i purchased it off had changed the original body kit to a fiberglass crapp vp gts kit... im in the hunt of a front bumper with fog lights. its gonna be hard but i aint gonna give up.. i love the vn ss rear spoiler that ive ditched the ss boot n spoiler and fitted a vn ss spoiler, garnish n new tail lights. Why not have the best of both.
