hey guys, i have been looking into a vp wagon,. not sure what model it is, not even sure how good it is, will find out saturday, but atm i own a vn series 1, and as you know they are quiet responsive as stock cars, apart from the weight difference of 50kgs or 150kgs whatever it is, will there be a mayjor drop in response to what i have now...
If you do things righ people wont know you have done anything at all...
shouldnt be much if any difference in performance.
apart from the weight, which is about 50kg, they have 2 inch longer wheelbase and thats about it.
the front end is exactly the same, and the rear is really just a different shocker setup to make room for cargo area.
i havent driven a vn/p sedan, but having driven dads vr sedan, i prefer to drive my wagon(probably coz its lowered and just feels nicer on the road)
I couldn't imagine any great differences in performance that would be noticeable from seat of pants testing.
My VP wag goes heaps better than my old S2 VN V6.
Oh hold on, my VP's a 5 litre!![]()

My VP wagon is great. Great to the point where I never want to own a sedan.
It thrashes the crap out of my mate's S1 VN calais no worries.

I can see the wagon taking some getting used to in the wet (*coughfishtailcough*), but aside from that, you'll probably find it's a very simiar drive. I drove a manual V6 VN wagon a few months ago, and was very impressed with the grunt it had.

Good point... they do have a heavier body roll and don't like the wet, but as a musician I've never owned a sedan, so...

cools, well i find out tomorrow how good it is condition wise, and if its decent my beast is going, gunna start from scratch and do everything properly, look after it, and do it up nicly, hopefully end up with something similar to lowagz, neways, ill keep ya's updated, thanks for the info guys

It's always a good feeling to know the complete history of a car, and to know you have cared intimately for every detail of its mechanics and asthetics. Does the wagon come with any service history? How many Ks has it done? If it's done 250,000+ then perhaps you're wasting your time doing everything from scratch?
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head![]()
