Exclamation HELP! noise under drivers seat

    hey all,

recently having a vibration problem in my vn berlina. had new engine mounts put in due to extractors hitting the tranny mount thingo. now im feeling these vibrations around the drivers seat area and through the steering wheel aswell. ive been to profix to suss it out and they said exhaust is fine now and its got to do with the driveshaft centre bearing cause the rear is low (ultra low kings)
does there idea sound accurate or what else could it be?

    thanks,
    Chris

I would say you have balance problems with your wheels, possibly all 4. Or even a bubble on a tyre. Get this checked 1st.

What extractors are fitted? The ones im running which were hitting the steering rack and bellhousing inspection cover are also known to hit the floor of the car.

Maybe just let ya missus drive the car from now on......... (she may like the vibrations!!!!) Just jokes mate.
Does it feel the same at low and high speed?
Do you notice it only in certain gears?
Is it still there in reverse?
Check your uni joints and make sure that all your bolts are good and tight.
If you have superlows on it "may" be the cause (too much angle on center bearing)... but i havent heard anyone else with dramas wwith theirs. You can check it byremoving the driveshaft from the diff and see if you can lift it much higher then the diff mounting flange. Put the car in neutral and rotate the shaft too to make sure it is not binding.
Your exhaust could still be the culprit . Maybe use something that is fire resistant and wedge it between the exhaust and the floor under ur seat and take it for a drive and see if that changes. Dont forget to remove it afterand if it does stop the noise leaving it in there is not the fix. Check it out and have it fixed properly.
Let us know how u go.
If you cant sort it out you might be able to hire it out to the CWA for their anual outings and meetings!!!! Who knows you might even get to do the bingo run for the local RSL !!! HAHAHAHAH
