vn 1988 5 speed v6

is it worth wreaking my 1988 manual v6? the radiator support has been ripped off the chasis and the chasis is still straight. the bonnet is dead same with both fenders, bumper and bumper support. if not? would it be better to sell the motor as running? or in bits? motor was perfect before smash.

first of all, were in australia, there 1/4 (or quarter) panels, not fenders, just like your bonnet is a bonnet (i'm suprised you didn't say hood)


Personally i think wreck it, but you wont get alot of money for the motor, as its a 'really' early series 1. But assuming the rest of the car is ok, you could get more for the interior, doors, boot(trunk lol) etc

yer its an early 88 , serviced with penrite every 10 thousand , ran like a beauty traveled up north of wa and not one problem was really sad to have this daily runner smash on me. how much would u think i could get rid of the motor for?

Motor and trans should go for about 800 if your lucky.


but selling the motor by itself, maybe 300 at most.

hmm was gonna steal the box the motor is also chipped has cold air intake yella terra throttle body , 2.5inch exhaust recond injectors. she flew like a rocket got it off the clock easy as piss

im surpised you haven't asked everyone on jc's yet what there serial no. is so you can have a huge database

With the number of Holdens exported - I must have just about all of them left in Australia

I hope to have a web based program to overlay the database with the data locked. Access will be by entering in valid VIN and and month car was made (which if valid will be added to the d/b). Could be some time away yet. Early Holden data is very thin but should be able to do the maths to get an approx answer as to what number Holden you have. I have sent off 4 CD's to JC members for their feedback.
