    Default Fitting Sideskirts

I have just purchased a set of VN/VR Senator sideskirts. I want to mount these on my VN Clubby myself. Can someone please tell what is needed to mount these. Do I need sikaflex for sealing or how do i glue these on??

i wouldnt bother to glue them, if water manages to get inside it will be trapped and rust out your sills, seen this happen alot to vls ect.... i worked in a paint shop for many years and we only ever screwed the ends on and clipped the underneath to the sill (factory skirt) or screwed them to the bottom of the sill, putting sealer in the screw holes

the point being, dont seal completely, moisture will always get in and needs to get out

i thought ya would be better off sealing the top to stop moisture getting in there and leaving the bottom unsealed so it can drain??
i think when i did my old car i didn't go all along the top either. jsut a couple of patches

yeah id drill holes in the skirts incase water gets in (the underneath)

screws do hold them but they still move, then when idiots decide to step on the skirt because they think itys metal and end up ripping a side off GRRR!!!

i dont let rear passengers in my car anymore
