Which transmission fluid

This weekend im going to do the tansmssion fluid in my VN and I am just wondering what type to use as I know that there are different types and also what brand is the best?

ok the recomended type of fluid is DEXTRON III (3)
most of the big name brands are good. id recomend valvoline

DEXTRON III . just blew a transmission hose a few days ago. while i was at it i flushed it and filled it up with that. nice smooth change between gears now.
