If its in the plenum chamber, it has corroded in. You need to get an impact driver to crack the corrosion. This happens when you have a steel bolt going through aluminium, moisture gets in there and the corroded alloy expands, locking the bolt.

Its between bonnet and windscreen, under plastic firewall cover. It sits between the high and low pressure air conditioner pipes.

Looks like its an impact driver job... wish I had one lol

get a touque bit to fit the bolt - hold with shifter while tapping the top of the t/bit. Increase pressure as you tap.

I have a torque bit in it now, but its still not budging.

I might take the bonnet off and drill it out if I cant get it.

That the right size? Most commodore stuff is metric........
Do you have any hex headed bits to suit a ratchet? I always manage to get the tuff buggers with them.

I ended up using the sidchrome peice in a battery operated drill which did nothing, then got it with an electric drill I borrowed at 7:30 tonight. Got the HVAC box out straight after along with all they coolant that it leaked

Aluminum corrodes anything it comes in contact with. that's why you see steel screws rust when they come in contact with aluminum. Use stainless bolts when attaching aluminum to steel.
