im booooooosted!

hey.,.. just thought id let everyone know my project was a success... im boosted...

hit 8psi before and then bov went but popped off a hose, was laying down some silly power, ask stocky he was in the car

still some issues

5cm exhust clearance (from the cat back exhust)
getting new one soon custom made

oil leaks from rocker seal not in proeprly and boost going through rocker covers = blowing oil everywhere

keep popping off hoses = need better clamps for some of hte joins

overall it runs like a everyday v6 commodore just feels like its got a bit more go, sounds the same, drives teh same just put your foot down and you get thrown back in your seat

Nice, good to hear. Now for the endless run of 16 year old parts breaking under the extra load. Have fun, hope you manage to get it reliable without too much hassle. :-)

yeah, im suprised, the cars not too much louder, its really drivable

its making some good power but i wont know how much untill its tuned + dyno'd

hahaha. you are going through the same crap i went through.. doesn't it suck. i have fixed my oil leaks and now no hoses popping off. just gotta get it running cooler..
i can't believe it isn't pinging. it should be.. put ya foot down a little harder and it might. lol... mine doesn't ping much with the adjustable fuel pressure reg. mine might have been pinging cos it spools up a bit quicker.. there is over 1000 rpm difference from when our cars start spooling.
i hope it all goes well. you are still having less drama's than me..

you did change that hose from the rocker cover the throttle body didn't ya????

nah, also i got a vac line stuck in the rocker cover
have to unbolt hte rocker cover
but have to take a whole lotta crap off first

just unhook the hose from the throttle body to the rocker.. don't drive it till you do.. i had all sorts of problems cos i didn't do it.,
also as i said once before you really need bigger pieces of silicon hose. you havn't use much at all for each join and you should have more luck with longer peices. cos that stuff is nice and sticky. so it holds on there good. all my pieces are at least 4 inchs long..
