Just an update (haven't in along time), car has just realed off 161.9rwkw today, so only 8rwkw to reach my goal!!
Car is internally stock standard with the following mods:
*Pacemaker Extractors
*Twin 2.5" hi flow mettalic cats
*Twin 2.5" exhuast with 2" balance pipe
*VN HSV air box
*YT Billet alloy roller rockers (standard 1.65:1 ratio)
Still running standard tune (going to try the HSV 180 tune soon then a custom one) and standard 10 degrees base timing.

dont they use a similar memcal setup to a v6? if so, just buy a chip burner

Yeah its almost the same stocky, easy as. I'm happy to burn the eproms for the the 180 clubsport tunes with the knock sensor bit disabled or something else a little more sporting that I have ready made and don't need to spend time on for 20 bucks to cover my time and parts posted to you door for the eprom and a machined socket. But I don't want to be annoyed with people asking me how to solder straight or anything like that :P because I have no time to do anything like that anymore and only for the 304 because it makes huge gains froma tune and that makes me happy

That is pretty good with bolt on mods, keep trying and you'll probably hit 200rwkw.
nice results for bolt on mods only. you should try the bigger TB and a cooler thermostat. possibly consider an underdriven crank pulley also(not 100% sure they are avail for the 304 holden unfortaunatly). that should definitly get you your extra 8rwkw. no doubt the HSV180 tune can be improved upon. have you tried a external fuel cooler? also a newtiming chain thats adjustable so that you can degree your cam properly should gain something

airstrike, did you find much benifit from installing the roller rockers? was it easy to do?
whens the cam comming? should help you make a bit more
