Does anyone know the actual volume of air (cfm) that is moved by the VT/VX fans versus the AU/BA fans?

I'd prefer to put the Holden ones in, if they're not that much different, can't really have any blue oval products in there ...

Fans are fans. They are not manufactured by Ford or Holden, usually Delco or someone like that.

The fans are made by Bosch. On a VN onwards use the AU/BA fans, for anything previous use the EF/EL fans. I have been too busy to post pics of mine or get them in the car (sorry if people got the impression they were), they are in the shed and have been trimmed to suit the VN radiator.

Then I wouldn't really see the need. The standard cooling fan is up to the task, most V8 owners install them as they run a clutch fan.

Is it really worth the hassle but to modify them? One thing i have noticed is with the VP fan when it kicks in it blast out the heat mad, If you happen to put a foot out the door when it's running you will feel the heat and it burns just about, hairy legs beware.

Yeah i can feel the hot air when i stick my leg out of the car aswell. I think my VN fan is more then enough, as soon as it kicks in the temp gauge goes down pretty fast

the only reason ya would need to change it on a v6 would be if ya turboed it. i was told by the bloke i bought my manifolds off to go for something like those fans. i have a 16 inch one on there now and i don't think it is really good enough.

In the winter it should be nice and warm outside the car... I would like to set the temp for the fan to come in 10deg earlier.
