Ok, with manual air my fan speed would only work on 4 (full). 1-2-3 would not work. I replaced the resistor with a VS one, didnt work, VN one, didnt work. Figured it was not the resistor and decided it must be the switch.
Now I just completed my climate control conversion and im still having the same issues, its full or nothing. New resistor again (climate style from VQ) and obviously a new switch. So whats the go? Why the hell arent my lower fan speeds working?
Any ideas what so ever?
did you swap the entire system over from the VQ or just he control panel. it'll probably pay to put the correct resistor for that panel. otherthen that look at the wiring i guess

The resistor is from the VQ too, as is the HVAC box, and all the wiring pretty much.
Could it be the relay? Other than that im just left with the actual fan..
The ignition relay supplies power to the blower fan only on speeds 1-3. The switch bypasses that on 4. Might be worth a look.
the VP manual shows another two fuses as additional pwr sources as well as pwr via starter relay, so was it a fuse?

1 2 3 fan speeds are controlled by a fuse and fan speed 4 is controlled via a relay.
mime only works on 3&4?? so what would the go be there
The fan speed resistor, found under the plastic cover beneath the wipers would be the most likely guess. With the plastic cover removed, it's in the sort-of-oval bubble held in place by two screws. The plastic 'bubble' is often, but not always, baby poo yellow. There are two types of resistor: wire and solid state. The original will be the wire type and a visual inspection will reveal broken wire(s). The later type will need to be checked with ohm meter. Next guess would be the switch, but two speeds going walkies suggests the resistor.
