Hey my motor has done a crank shaft rear bearing or something, and i was wondering what problems i would run into putting a Vr motor and box into a Vn89 some1 said there will be sensors and the radiator hose is different but my mate has a motor and box how much would be a decent price to pay for 1 thanx.

You would want to get the combo real cheap, coz the the other bits that you will need to change will cost you - assuming its an auto?
The auto is useless, unless you run a VR PCM and harness because the VR auto is an electronic one.
There will be issues with wiring up these to the VN as among other things, the ALDL is a different baud rate, so diagnostics could be an issue...
The speedo wiring is also different.
You may be able to use the S1 auto on the S2 motor using the S2 flexplate and use a VN/VP S2 engine harness - unless you want to alter the existing harness to suit the altered sensor positions (small headache?)
You would need to run the radiator and matching plumbing from a S2 to get everything to match up - overflow / surge tank, heater hoses and possibly the heater tap, as S1 + S2 are somewhat different.
If you can acquire the radiator and plumbing with the VR motor, it might be a worthwhile exercise?
If both are manuals, then all you need is the S2 engine harness plus radiator and plumbing though, so long as the S2 has a flywheel on it?
well if i just get a VR motor hook it up to my gear box and get all the wiring loom and put it in will i need the Computer from the VR or can i use mine.
and its an auto.

hows it goin i just put a vr motor in a vn but its not starting everything sounds good when it turns over but the injectors arent pulsing. i read somewhere that ive got to get my memcal modifyed because of the security system on the vr. does anyone know where i can get this done or how to do this???????
