    about a 2- 2 1/2 hour job.
remove wheel, caliper mounts, stabilizer bar drop links, lower ball joint nut, rack tie rod, 3 nuts on top of the strut tower, pull strut out, compress springs, remove retaining nut from the top of strut, remove strut hat and remove the spring

Just a tip to separate the ball joint. Its on a taper, the way I do it is to take the nut right off, get a long bar, about 1 metre and put it over the z bar and under the chassis and lever down. As you are putting pressure on the bar hit the taper with a hammer. This will shock it apart. Then lever the ball joint down and out of the strut. Take the rest apart after that. Don't undo the top mount until you have separated the ball joint.
