    Default Help - Bloody speedo

My bloody Speedo has been going nuts over the past 2 weeks. Sits on the speed im doing then will jump all over the place. One seconds im doing 70 then in a matter of a second its 20-40-20-50 then back to 70…

So I wasn’t shore what it was. Prob just a loose connection. So one night I get home from the pub and I see this level 2 dash cluster on eBay for $130 with 000002km on the dial. So I impulse bought it as I always wanted a dash with a taco.

Soooooo today I “tried” installing it. Got the taco, petrol and car temp gauge to work. But the Speedo is still going crazy and the odometer won’t move?
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on and how I can possibly fix it?

Also half the lights down the bottom of the dash don’t light up. Even thoe I just pulled them out of my original dash. Have I done something wrong???

    Thanks guys

it used to be common in early VN.
take the transducer off the trans & spray some lube in it so the square drive bit turns freely, try getting some spray grease it works better than wd40 or similar. it will stop the drive from chattering which causes the speedo to jump.
