i done something bad
i was jacking my car up with that wind up jack in the boot. all of a sudden it bends in half and the car drops straight down. now i have the left back side of the car completly on the ground. after 45 mins i managed to jack it up just enough to get the back tyre on it. now its all back together. do you think it would of done any serious damage because im to scared to start it.
nah should be sweet mate i wouldnt use them jacks there pretty dangerous.

im no expert but maybe you killed the sensor that show on the dash if you park brake is on? or is it actually on? because my mate screwed his somehow and now it beeps at him constantly when driving... so hopefully its just a sensorOriginally Posted by pr0n

i mean the hand break pops on. you know the bit you pull up when your car is parked in the centre of the console. it pops up like you have pulled hand brake on.

i cant see how this would happen, its only a cable leading the the rear of the car. you would be best to slid under and see for yourself any damage on the area that touched the ground.

i found out why hand brake poped on. if i leave it 1 click on when reversing it just clicks up on its own, weird., also had a look under it. not a single scratch at all. lucky it was on grass. and before u say thats why the jack bent its not. it had wood under it and it was on a level surface. also just took it for a quick run arround the block and not a single problem. just lucky i guess.

ooooo really? i thought it was underneath or something around that area? because my mate was on a bumpy road and he scratched underneath of his car.... and now his handbrake light is constantly on and starts beeping at him because it thinks its up.... o well learn something new everyday
What were you expecting? explosions?
Nothing critical is at the back of the car, the worst you could do is scratch the paint, and on grass...
id be more worried about the grass being hurt.

all that went through my mind was WTF, cause that stupid jack just bent in half, it was probally made in china.
cause i jacked it up. removed the tyre., then i wound it up like 2 more turns and it just bent in half.

should be a lesson to everyone not to get under a car that's only on a jack.
that's how my pop dropped a sigma on his nose. he was fine but he could make it click after that (i'm pretty sure your nose isn't meant to have a joint in it)
so everything is sorted? you didn't bend the handbrake actuater arms on the rear discs.

i got all that gear, although my dad locked the shed and took the keys to work. so i could only use what i had.
