hi all, whats the best type of coolant to use with a 5ltr injected vq statesman?? i heard that theres this red stuff these days?? i just want to use a holden recommended coolant..

i just used a normal coolant from autobarn and ive never had a problem

just stick to the normal green coolant and u will b fine.. but dont get the cheap stuff
whats the mixing ratio ?? ive heard that if you put the wrong coolant u will be up **** creek,![]()

If I were you, I would just be making sure it has rust inhibitor, and contains anti-freeze and anti-boil, boiling around 134 degrees or thereabouts. I like a 50/50 mix off the bat, so I can afford to dilute the mix a little over time, but that's just meI also mix the leftover coolant with an equal amount of water, and keep that in the boot for top-ups. Almost like pre-mixed cordial

A 50:50 mixture of coolant/water is the recommended mix. You can't go past the Holden coolant even though it might cost a little more. The cheap stuff is just coloured water.
