I looked at the setup on the VS and its possible but it would be a head fuc* I think, too much modifying because the VN boot is totally different setup to the VS boot.

Just keep replacing the VN ones, a trip to U-Pull It and take 50 of em

    Mine snapped too

Maybe look at something like fitted to the VN SS. It was fitted from factor with a gas strut running off the normal ones to help take the extra load of the spoiler. I can take a picture if you like.

    Rise from the dead RIISSEEE

Would anyone have a pic of the vn boot strut setup.. or pics of anyone who HAS done the conversion?

My boot has never stayed up by itself the whole time i have owned it, and its really starting to **** me.

I have no idea how you are meant to get the springs/rods out of a vn at the wreckers as they are in there pretty bloody tight. Also i have 2 vs bonnet struts so i might as well use 1 or 2 of them to keep the boot up :P

    cheers guys/gals!

Guess you could mimick the bonnet struts, easy to do the ones on the body dunno how youd go modding them for the boot lid tho as i need to drill holes in the vn's bonnet to put my vp struts on.

As long as its not going to be a hassle mate?

That would be very helpful thanks

I was just going to crudely install one of the vs gas struts to one of the hinges, and the other end to somewhere in the boot. If that fails im sure it would be easy enough to knock up a mounting point for the gas strut to bolt to.
