Hi all, whats the alternator output supposed to be?
the output should be 14.4 volts. the output load will depend upon the accesories being used. as long as it's at 14.4 volts (orthereabouts) it should be ok

bit fo battery info
2.2v per cell x 6 = 13.2v fully charged battery.
recommended alt charge voltage range is 13.6-14.8v.
I fink they only put out bout 65amp, its the cop alts that have the 85amp output
Nah, I've got an 85 amp on the SS standard that I put on the VB, pretty sure the cop 1's are 120...thanx guys. Had to totally rewire the ignition circuit due to a hot 8volt wire and wiring wearing on the rear of the booster, but I think the batteries hammered aswell....
The police alternators were the same... Different alternators were not used in police vehicles until the VS/VT...
Thats what I'm talking about.
