my Vn indercatiors or not working

i just bought my new VN (with new motor in it 3.8 vn) ok i have no indercatiors at all, no hazards alwell and the lights on my dash for were my turning arrow should flash are not on plz help i have checked fuses (think)

check flasher unit...may have a poor earth...also check the switches,sorry but thats about my limit with auto electrical

can i tell if the flasher can is brocken mine is getting very hot

does it click at all...no clicking or very fast clicking,it's dicky...my toyota hilux 4WD indicator flasher unit melted,i think it was just a wear and tear issue as i replaced it and have had no troubles since,so to me indicated no shorts.hilux is 25 years old
